I'm having a lot of fun with this EPIDEMIC or should I say Pandemic that may or may not be blown out of proportion to distract us.
It's about time some of you guys started acting like tomorrow isn't promised, I mean they've only been telling us that our entire lives.
With the same emphasis, it's about time some of you started thinking about the type of future that we want to build because if today was your last day, would you be happy with the life you've lead so far?
Yes; "odds" are that you won't die from the Coronavirus even if you get it, but it still brings to light the FACT that a virus could potentially come and wipe out this whole planet and we literally would not see it coming because viruses are invisible to the naked eye.
So yes, sometimes plan things out for a better tomorrow, and sometimes live like there is no tomorrow, but don't get stuck in one mode so long you forget the other.
As a people, we've become OBSESSED with labeling (judging) everyone and everything, so much so that we've identified with single opinions. I'll be the first to say, I have like ten different personalities and they're all pretty dope.
Sometimes I'm a mom, sometimes I'm a sorority girl, sometimes I'm a daughter, and the list goes on and on. The problem starts when we see these labels as differences rather than understanding that we as humans all seek the same basic things. The way we go about it is different and those differences can be something we bond over, but those differences can also be something we learn from each other, if we don't let them divide us.
Everyone has a story and sometimes we stand to learn far more by listening than we ever do by talking. For, you can only speak what you already know, but listening is how you learn.
One of the most significant parts of this virus is the HUMAN element of it. We are all in this together. For the first time, the rich people can't avoid a crisis. I know you're used to taking a helicopter first out of fire or flood danger, I know you paid for the resources to eat the best food so you don't get sick in the first place while profiting on an entire population of people suffering from disease because of what you inject into our food, but this time, the enemy doesn't care about your bottom (line).
Funny almost misuse of the word "bottom line," but it's true isn't it?! You sold human lives for profit and now your profit can't help you, but maybe humans can. There is literally no us vs. them right now. This whole planet is sick regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disabilities, and for once: monetary social standing. This is a HUMAN problem, just like many others.
“You can only speak what you know, but listening is how you learn.”
It’s funny updating this article now, knowing that even though the rich couldn’t physically escape, they still averted crisis, by being able to purchase the best medicine that money can buy. So now they elite are back to their lives while the rest battle for their survival. They ignore the pain and suffering of the majority and remain ignorant to their struggles not realizing that their stature is wholly dependent on the majority. Only when we realize we're all playing for the same team, the HUMAN race will we find true humanity.
