Intro: My girlfriend got brutally and violently attacked by one of her mother's drug dealers over money her mom owed.

Have you ever had one of those mornings where you wake up and don't know if yesterday was real? I come to you on the morning of January 11, 2025 to recount the events of yesterday.

I was eating a late lunch/early dinner with my son at a Thai Restaurants in Redondo Beach, CA when I got a call from a number I didn't recognize. I answered and it was my girlfriend, Brittani.

At first, she seemed normal, but seconds into our call, she broke down crying hysterically about how she was in the emergency room because her mom's drug dealer beat her up over her mom owing him drug money.

Luckily, Kayden and I were at the end of our meal and after dropping him off, I drove straight to the hospital. When I got to the front of the emergency room, I asked if I could go see her. The security guard behind the desk said that she hadn't been assigned a room yet so he couldn't locate her.

I went outside and called her mom, Dawn, thinking she would be in the emergency room with her daughter. Imagine my disgust when she picks up the phone and I find out she's not even at the hospital. She's out doing drugs with her friends. My blood boiled and I angrily said, "You don't deserve Brittani! You don't deserve to be a mother!" What ensued was the most heated argument I've had in a long time with me listing some of the horrible things she has done to Brittani in the past and her telling me to shut up and hanging up the phone.

She called back several minutes later and said in the most manipulative manner, "Are you ready to listen now?" I immediately began firing back about how I've watched her use and manipulate and abuse Brittani for the past almost year. She began calling me names and ended the phone call with a threat: "SHUT YOUR MOUTH BEFORE I COME OVER THERE AND SLAP IT!"

She later sent me a text message trying to tell me that Brittani did a bunch of horrible things to her in the past. We exchanged a few nasty text messages. Then I stopped responding.

There are so many details I found out about the story, the more disgusted I became:

1.) Exactly a month ago, Dawn Elder owed a bunch of drug dealers and with the help of her grandpa, Brittani paid them all off, but they both swore that was the last time and that Dawn needed to go to rehab or she needed to be off the lease.

2.) Brittani and I drove her mom to rehab, the whole ride her spewing curse words and insults at Brittani.

3.) Dawn stayed less than 24 hours at the rehab facility before signing herself out.

4.) After Dawn left rehab, Brittani got a paper signed by Dawn stating that she would remove herself from the lease. I am a witness to the signing.

5.) Dawn led the drug dealer, Lester Matthews to Brittani's apartment while she knew she was home. She knocked on the window and had the drug dealers hide behind the bushes. When Brittani came to answer the door, they ambushed her, trying to get her inside. She pushed her way to the common area and Lester began beating her violently, causing a concussion and breaking her nose in two places.

6.) While the assault was happening, Brittani tried to reach for her phone to call 911 and her mom grabbed it out of her hands and gave it to Lester.

7.) While she was being gravely battered, Dawn just kept yelling, "You did this to yourself, Brittani."

8.) Brittani Shea Elder bought her mom, Dawn Renee Elder a bouquet of flowers hours before Dawn aided and abetted Lester Matthews into assaulting Brittani.

Please support and help me bring both, Lester Matthews and Dawn Renee Elder to justice. Mental illness and substance abuse may explain, but certainly not excuse.
